The project investigates the multiple roles a painting surface maintains today as a critique of technology in the arts. Traditionally, a painted surface, whether a canvas, furniture, or a building, remained separate from the exploration and experience of the world the works represent. In these new works, I am interested in the collaboration and tension between the space of painted realities, the devices of technology in world-building, and the place of femininity, questioning how AI reads and imagines femininity as it develops creative works that bridge the bounds of artistic expression.
